This topic is a crucial one in regard to the security of the multi-million passengers crowds which use every day the main transportation hubs, including airports, railway stations and sea ports.
The cases of emergency, including fire, explosions, earthquakes, etc. have shown positive and negative sides in managing the crowd behaviour, especially in cases of multinational crowds where many people do not understand
well the instructions of the officers in charge. Considering this, the European Commission has initiated Horizon 2020 project with the participation of scholars from Italy, UK, Holland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Poland.
From Bulgaria in the project participate our Prof. Michael Minkov and Prof. Vesselin Blagoev. You can see some of the results from the research here.
